Your contract is with Portugal Green Walks, Lda. Below are the details of the terms and conditions of the booking agreement. Please read them carefully. When you make a booking and we accept it, a legally binding contract is made. When you complete the booking process, you (and any other person on whose behalf you book) agree to accept all of these terms and conditions. You also warrant that the information given by you when making a booking is complete and true. A contract will exist as soon as we issue our confirmation invoice. This contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions which are governed by Portuguese Law and the jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.


We reserve the right to alter the prices of any of the holidays shown on our website. You will be advised of the current price of the holiday that you wish to book before your contract is confirmed.

a) The price of your travel arrangements is fully guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharges. All the prices already have VAT included, however, there are some cases that accommodations could charge tourist taxes.

b) You should note that no discounts for unused services will be given if at the time of booking you choose not to take part in the full package.


If we cancel your travel arrangements for reasons other than the above, we will offer you compensation as set out in the table below. If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements, you can either have a refund of all monies paid or accept an offer of alternative travel arrangements of comparable standard from us, if available (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of lower value). If, for an unforeseeable reason outside of our suppliers’ control, we have to cut short your holiday, no refund or compensation will be made for any unused hotel accommodation, hire equipment or any other unused service or feature of the trip.


We will not pay you compensation if we have to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way because of war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity and its consequences, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that may amount to force majeure. The compensation that we offer does not exclude you from claiming more if you are entitled to do so.

Compensation per person:

. More than 60 days – Nil
. 59 – 15 days – 20€
. 14 – 0 days – 30€


To secure a holiday, the consumer must pay a deposit equal to 25% of the value of the holiday for his/her party at the time of booking. The holiday must be paid for in full at least 30 days before the starting date of the holiday. If it is not paid by that date the company shall have the option to cancel the holiday. If the company exercises that option or if the consumer cancels the holiday (which cancellation must be notified in writing to the company from the person who made the booking or your travel agent on your behalf) the following cancellation charges are payable by the consumer:

Cancellation charges – the following charges which are expressed as a percentage of the holiday cost will be made:

  • More than 30 days before departure: 10% of total trip cost
  • 29-15 days before the beginning of the tour: 50% of total trip cost
  • Less than 14 days before the beginning of the tour: 100% of total trip cost

If the contract we have with you is not performed or is improperly performed by us or our suppliers we will pay you appropriate compensation if this has affected the enjoyment of your travel arrangements. However, we will not be liable where any failure in the performance of the contract is due to: you; or a third party unconnected with the provision of the travel arrangements and where the failure is unforeseeable or unavoidable; or unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised; or an event which we or our suppliers, even with all due care, could not foresee or forestall. In all cases, we will offer you such prompt assistance as is reasonable in the circumstances.

Our liability, except in cases involving death, injury or illness, shall be limited to a maximum of three times the cost of your travel arrangements.


Optional activities, excursions or other tours that you may choose to book or pay for whilst you are on holiday are not part of your package holiday provided by us. For any optional activity, excursion, or other tours that you book, your contract will be with the operator of the activity, excursion or tour and not with us. We are not responsible for the provision of the activity, excursion or tour or for anything that happens during the course of its provision by the operator.


We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. When you make a booking, you consent to the information you provide being passed on to our suppliers, wherever they may be based. The information may also be provided to public authorities such as customs or immigration if required by them, or as required by law. Certain information may also be passed on to security or credit checking companies. Full details of our data protection and privacy policy are available on the Portugal Green Walks website.


Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize and accept the risks and hazards potentially involved in active holidays and that you are mentally and physically capable of undertaking your chosen trip. You must tell us if you have an existing medical condition or disability that might affect your holiday before you book it. You are responsible for bringing with you the proper clothing and equipment, which we advise you about.


Your specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. In some cases, full and correct passport information is required when a booking is submitted to us. If you do not supply the appropriate and correct information when you make your booking, we will not be able to make the necessary bookings on your behalf and cannot be held responsible.


We advise you to have an insurance that must include cover for; medical expenses, injury, death, cost of repatriation and evacuation via ambulance. If, in the event of an emergency medical rescue or evacuation from a holiday of you the client, either by foot or otherwise the responsibility for the payment of such costs will lie with the client. Any subsequent costs incurred for expenses such as hotels, food, transport etc shall be borne by the client. It is imperative that the client ensures adequate insurance cover is in place before departure. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for the particular needs of you and your party. We do not check insurance policies.


If you have a problem during your holiday, you must inform our Support Services (mobile phone: +351 258 027 667) who will endeavour to put things right. If your complaint is not resolved at the moment, please follow this up within 30 days of your return home by writing to our main office (Rua Doutor Francisco Duarte, 301, sala 19. 4715-017, Braga, Portugal) giving your booking reference and all other relevant information. Please keep your letter concise and to the point. This will assist us to quickly identify your concerns and speed up our response to you. It is strongly suggested that you communicate any complaint to us without delay and complete a report whilst on the tour. If you fail to follow this simple procedure we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint during your holiday and this may affect your rights under this contract.


Any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our holidays may be used by the company without charge in all media (whether now existing or in the future invented) for bona fide promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures, website slides, video shows and the internet.
